hi can you do spectrometry please?
I have several videos on instrumentation that address various forms of spectrometry
Thank you very much for this video
Thank you
You're welcome
Thank you!
Doctor what deos a trace amount of protein in urine indicate is it normal or not plz answer
Trace is normal, especially if you have a higher protein intake. If you have diabetes it could be an early indication of kidney damage. Lab results always have to be interpreted in the context of the patient
@@DrAsClinicalLabVideos im not diabetic
Your videos are easy to understand. I love it very informative.
Very Helpful presentation.
This is so good! Great summary
Glad you think so!
hey doctor, cool stuff but be abit slow
Speed up the video?

Thank you for the content! I appreciate it <3
My pleasure!
Thank you so much for this video! It really helped explain things more simply on this topic that I was struggling with!
Glad it was helpful!
Super helpful, Thanks!
This was really helpful, thank you!!

Thanks so much I’m MLT medical laboratory technician student I will love to be more enlightened and learn more form you
I began following your lectures in the fall of 2022, when I commenced my MLT coursework. I'm currently completing clinical internships, in the chemistry department, and your videos continue to be an invaluable resource for me. At this point, I view myself as one of your students. 🤓 Your clear and accessible teaching style greatly enhances my understanding. I am deeply appreciative of your content and sincerely hope it remains accessible for future MLT/MLS students. Thank you for all your assistance.
Thank you! I am so glad I added value to your learning path. 🥰
I just found this video. Thank you. Super helpful for understanding my LDL results.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you dr A

Re. CA19-9 & heterophile antibodies. In a 2022 case study (Zhao et al), a patient with elevated CA19-9 was analysed as a possible false positive case. Three analysis methods used: gradient dilution, PEG precipitation & heterophilic antibody blocking assay. Conclusion was CA19-9 increase was incorrectly identified due to the presence of heterophilic antibodies. My questions: - Are the lab methods used above available in typical commercial labs (ie not just research labs), or are there other heterophile antibodies tests. - could tick bites be a source of heterophile antibodies - would an alpha-gal antibody (mammalian meat allergy) test be of any use, & could heparin impact on heterophile antibodies, & the CA19-9 levels? Ref: Wei Zhao et al. 2022. "Persistent increase of carbohydrate antigen 19-9 with an unknown reason: A seven - year follow-up case" Journal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis/ Vol 36, Issue 12 / e24792
I don't know if you have hemoglobin electrophoresis for hemoglobinopathies in your schedule. If you could record a lecture on this subject it will be helpful for many. I don't know if anyone else can explain complex subjects better than you.
I will add it to the list! I will be back at recording soon
Hi, thanks for the video. Is this APA 6 or APA 7?
I made that one when it was APA 6
@@DrAsClinicalLabVideos Thanks, Dr.
I am grateful for your hard work on making these videos, Dr. A ❤😍
Let say I need 800 ul of total solution. And I need to do a 1:3 .. what much stock and how diluent do you need? How do you do that math to get to 800 by doing the 1:3.thank you !
You have 4 parts total: the one of stock and the 3 of diluent. Divide 800 by 4 = 200. So you need 200 of stock and (3 x 200) 600 of diluent. 600 + 200 = 800 total
@DrAsClinicalLabVideos wow so easy!!! Thank you so much. You don't know how much I've been struggling with dilutions, and your explanation made it so easy THANK YOU!!!
❤thank you so much for the video, Dr. A. ❤
I just cant get the porphyria's Dr A. Im studying for my ascp chemistry specialist and I'm missing nearly every question regarding porphyrins! any suggestions?
Can you turn each one in a silly picture made of the attributes of the disease. It is okay if it only makes sense to you. It’s better if it is silly or outrageous. Start with the more common ones like VP and CPT
Blah blah blah
Thank you for the video ❤😊
You're welcome 😊
Many thanks
❤thank you for the videos. They are very helpful for my learning ❤️
i thought a r4s only applies to 2 levels of controls - is it not?
It can be both, if it is the same control it has to go from +2 to -2sd, if it is across 2 controls, one goes up while the other goes down. From his website: “R4s indicates a rejection when one control measurement in a run exceeds a +2s control limit and another exceeds a -2s control limit. This "range" rule is sensitive to changes in the width of the distribution, therefore it is a good indicate of increases in random error or changes in the precision of the method.”
Thank you ❤
Thank you for the help
Thank you!

What is the general marge of measurement ? Is it the same with all liquid like nasal spray blood ?
The one we have in our student lab reads from 0-2000 moms/kg in aqueous solution. We use it for serum and urine.
Hi dr i had a cea test level since i was just checking why last year i was constipated or that what i thought after eating in a party a street food. I went to request blood test and seems all good but i was very concerned since i read in google things and i request since i thought i had a ball in my stomach and the doctor ls explain is my externon bone that some people might have very showing and some others no i didn't believe that and i ask for more test. I request for cea test and the value was 2.39 mg the range feom the laboratory was 3.80 The dr told me i should stop asking for more results but i request a colonoscopy and endoscopy sinxe i read in google for healthy person should always have range 0 in cea test. I ask 2 doctoes and they told me nost of healthy persons will always have a value in that. After the colonoscopy and endoscopopy the dr told me i have gastritis erosiv with helicobacter pylori and by colonoscopy colotis. With fatty liver. And since im working at night since 3 years i have sleeping bad not eating well and literally not moving it might cause sometimes constipated or Inflamate intestine, xray is also good. Last may i did again a blood test as now sometimes im constipated vut i understand is my work at night at home and not moving during the day 0 exercise but im not a fat person . Can lack sleep and lack exercise not eating change your health? Should i look a morning job ? Thanks I noticed since i work at night in 2020 i start with constipated. Not always.
Thank you. because you put the Arabic translation on your lectures. I hope you put it in all your lectures. Thank you again. I wish you a beautiful day. The topic is negative in the messages. It doesn’t convey feelings. I wish you a beautiful beautiful day.
❤
Both of my parents are A+, I’m A2, when I was born everything was fine but when my (little) brother was born, he was yellow and had to be in a incubator, also had to have sun baths after he was released (and there was the probability that would stay a bit longer in the hospital). My question is, would HDN happen due subgroup incompatibility?
Only if the antibodies produced are IgG. It could also just had an immature liver. It’s not uncommon
